OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2009) - Calian Technologies Ltd. (TSX:CTY) today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.17 per share. In addition, the Company declared the payment of a special dividend of $1.00 per share. The dividends are payable December 9, 2009 to shareholders of record as of November 25, 2009. Dividends paid by the Corporation are considered "eligible dividend" for tax purposes.

In recognition of these results and the fact that certain contributing factors are considered non-recurring, we are pleased to reward our shareholders with a special dividend in addition to our regular dividend" stated Ray Basler, President and CEO.
