ASCAP Purchases Experian QAS Address Verification for Its Salesforce CRM Deployment
BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 27, 2009) - Experian® QAS®, a leading provider of [ address verification ] software and services, today announced that the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) purchased QAS for Salesforce CRM. The society expects [ front-end address verification ] to reduce the volume of returned mail and to increase the effectiveness of its prospecting efforts.
Six percent of ASCAP's mail is currently returned each month, impeding the sales process and reducing the program's return on investment potential. Experian QAS [ address verification ] software integrates directly into ASCAP's Salesforce CRM application to ensure that only verified addresses enter the application. The membership group first heard of [ Experian QAS on salesforce.com's AppExchange ]. ASCAP is now in the process of rolling out the tool across their Salesforce CRM deployment.
"ASCAP licenses well over 300,000 accounts annually across the country, and our new business growth rate is significant. We expect to see a measurable reduction in bounced mail in the short term," said John Johnson, vice president of licensing at ASCAP. "As we move forward, we are hopeful that address verification will ultimately lead to increased closings. By increasing mailing accuracy, we will be better able to put license agreements into the hands of customers."
ASCAP also uses a de-duplication tool to manage its data quality. By adding QAS address verification, the organization expects to see an increase in the de-duplication tool's effectiveness.
"Address quality is critical for organizations as it is one of the key contact points for customers and prospects," said David Northridge, director of customer retention at Experian QAS. "Our goal at Experian QAS is to enable companies, like ASCAP, to communicate more effectively and to improve business results."
"This is yet another example of how companies can quickly and easily find and deploy valuable business solutions using salesforce.com's AppExchange," said Kendall Collins, chief marketing officer at salesforce.com. "With Experian QAS, ASCAP will be able to increase the value of its Salesforce CRM application to optimize and improve its business processes."
