  • The latest AAII Sentiment Survey reveals a decrease in optimism among individual investors regarding the short-term outlook for stocks. In contrast, both neutral sentiment and pessimism have experienced an increase.

The latest American Association of Individual Investors (AAII) Sentiment Survey indicates a decline in investor optimism, with bullish sentiment dropping to 38.3% from 48.6% the previous week. This marks the lowest level of optimism since May 2023. Conversely, bearish sentiment increased to 29.7% from 23.3%, while neutral sentiment slightly rose to 32% from 28.1%. This shift suggests a growing caution among investors, possibly influenced by recent market volatility and economic indicators. The survey, which has been conducted weekly since 1987, reflects the mood of individual investors regarding the short-term outlook for the stock market.
