May 19, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5322 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4215 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1808 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. General Motors Company (NYSE:GM), Church & Dwight Co Inc (NYSE:CHD), Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), Transocean Ltd. (NYSE:RIG), CenterPoint Energy Inc. (NYSE:CNP), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  GM $0.250 0.01% 3,812,807 25.63% 5,884,673 39.56% -2,071,866 Abnormal
  CHD $0.050 0.00% 483,358 8.37% 2,452,180 42.48% -1,968,822 Abnormal
  XOM $0.080 0.00% 2,638,198 18.55% 4,388,641 30.86% -1,750,443 Abnormal
  RIG $0.060 0.01% 3,940,330 22.59% 7,595,921 43.54% -3,655,591 Abnormal
  CNP $0.260 0.01% 1,088,797 8.47% 6,747,988 52.48% -5,659,191 Abnormal
  GDX $0.210 0.01% 10,918,942 26.43% 16,019,876 38.77% -5,100,934 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Friday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows GM with 2,071,866 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.25000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
