March 9, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5480 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2217 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3789 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. STMicroelectronics NV (NYSE:STM), iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (NYSE:IWM), Avon Products Inc (NYSE:AVP), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE:WFT), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  STM $-0.420 -0.03% 6,717,615 39.58% 5,266,236 31.03% 1,451,379 Abnormal
  IWM $-0.500 -0.00% 11,601,633 32.95% 9,119,830 25.90% 2,481,803 Abnormal
  AVP $-0.020 -0.01% 3,664,808 58.11% 1,295,716 20.55% 2,369,092 Abnormal
  AAPL $-0.320 -0.00% 8,685,606 39.27% 6,210,232 28.08% 2,475,374 Abnormal
  WFT $-0.050 -0.01% 11,687,858 38.32% 9,153,986 30.01% 2,533,872 Abnormal
  F $-0.040 -0.00% 11,950,044 41.04% 9,939,223 34.14% 2,010,821 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Thursday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows STM with 1,451,379 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.42000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
