March 2, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5521 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1766 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4372 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), Brocade Communications Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:BRCD), NRG Energy Inc. (NYSE:NRG), ENERGIZER RESOURCES (OTC:ENZR), SUPERNOVA ENERGY Inc. (OTC:SPRN), Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:AUPH). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XOM $0.380 0.01% 3,657,801 24.66% 5,262,136 35.48% -1,604,335 Abnormal
  BRCD $0.020 0.00% 1,013,111 19.08% 2,675,226 50.38% -1,662,115 Abnormal
  NRG $0.180 0.01% 2,143,570 25.47% 3,675,872 43.67% -1,532,302 Abnormal
  ENZR $0.013 0.28% 177,499 12.01% 1,300,698 87.99% -1,123,199 Abnormal
  SPRN $0.070 0.45% 2,241,098 33.00% 4,550,716 67.00% -2,309,618 Abnormal
  AUPH $0.750 0.20% 16,682,399 34.95% 18,164,550 38.06% -1,482,151 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Thursday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XOM with 1,604,335 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.38000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
