January 10, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5386 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3609 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2425 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Technology Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLK), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX), HP Inc. (NYSE:HPQ), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLK $0.010 0.00% 3,837,382 42.25% 1,605,452 17.68% 2,231,930 2,231,930
  SIRI $0.020 0.00% 9,611,782 47.49% 5,512,748 27.24% 4,099,034 2,049,517
  FCX $0.870 0.06% 18,412,141 38.29% 13,790,851 28.68% 4,621,290 53,118
  HPQ $0.010 0.00% 6,607,529 39.27% 4,517,986 26.85% 2,089,543 2,089,543
  GDX $0.190 0.01% 31,979,722 37.80% 16,241,408 19.20% 15,738,314 828,332
  GDXJ $0.840 0.02% 8,792,501 36.49% 3,734,009 15.50% 5,058,492 60,220
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLK with a Net Buy Volume of 2,231,930 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,231,930 shares. That means that it takes 2,231,930 more shares of buying than selling to move XLK higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
