December 13, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5693 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3414 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2693 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Tuesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC), Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Cobalt International Energy Inc. (NYSE:CIE). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MT $-0.140 -0.02% 6,279,217 27.91% 8,370,651 37.21% -2,091,434 -149,388
  GE $-0.120 -0.00% 9,427,112 27.86% 14,719,790 43.51% -5,292,678 -441,057
  THC $-0.100 -0.01% 1,004,808 19.12% 3,014,046 57.34% -2,009,238 -200,924
  WFC $-0.450 -0.01% 6,433,597 26.81% 8,434,307 35.15% -2,000,710 -44,460
  F $-0.030 -0.00% 10,224,233 26.07% 18,446,254 47.03% -8,222,021 -2,740,674
  CIE $-0.010 -0.01% 1,911,064 25.44% 4,105,638 54.65% -2,194,574 -2,194,574
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MT down $-0.14000 with a Friction Factor of -149,388 and a Net Volume of -2,091,434. That means that it takes 149,388 more shares of selling than buying to drop MT by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
