December 13, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5693 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3414 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2693 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), Genworth Financial Inc. (NYSE:GNW), PowerShares QQQ Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ), Gulf Coast Ultra Deep Royalty Trust (PINK:GULTU), ON Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:ON), IDdriven Inc. (PINK:IDDR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction CSCO $0.420 0.01% 9,538,157 38.70% 6,383,939 25.90% 3,154,218 75,100 GNW $0.050 0.01% 5,055,052 65.27% 1,423,874 18.39% 3,631,178 726,236 QQQ $1.640 0.01% 13,284,715 24.43% 10,544,997 19.39% 2,739,718 16,706 GULTU $0.047 0.51% 3,994,455 80.94% 940,369 19.06% 3,054,086 649,806 ON $0.450 0.04% 8,240,684 56.31% 3,316,253 22.66% 4,924,431 109,432 IDDR $0.039 1.77% 10,523,421 47.38% 5,760,141 25.94% 4,763,280 1,221,354Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows CSCO with a Net Buy Volume of 3,154,218 shares and a Friction Factor of 75,100 shares. That means that it takes 75,100 more shares of buying than selling to move CSCO higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
