November 21, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5444 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4073 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2288 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS), United Cannabis Corp (PINK:CNAB), Akers Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:AKER), Canopy Growth Corp (OTC:TWMJF), Marapharm Ventures Inc. (PINK:MRPHF), Kush Bottles Inc. (PINK:KSHB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DRYS $-2.760 -0.23% 7,441,973 31.42% 8,341,806 35.22% -899,833 -3,260
  CNAB $-0.230 -0.17% 257,118 41.73% 355,924 57.76% -98,806 -4,296
  AKER $-0.350 -0.16% 50,790 30.66% 76,675 46.28% -25,885 -740
  TWMJF $-1.497 -0.16% 309,146 42.28% 352,103 48.15% -42,957 -287
  MRPHF $-0.263 -0.21% 65,916 29.45% 144,272 64.46% -78,356 -2,985
  KSHB $-0.452 -0.16% 124,712 43.33% 144,876 50.34% -20,164 -446
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DRYS with a dollar loss Monday of $-2.76000 and a Friction Factor of -3,260 shares. That means that it only took 3,260 more shares of selling than buying to move DRYS lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
