November 1, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5393 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1874 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4158 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Tuesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLV), SPDR S&P 500 (NYSE:SPY), Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), Visa Inc. (NYSE:V), iShares MSCI Japan Index Fund (NYSE:EWJ), iSh Brc US TrBd Shs (NYSE:GOVT). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLV $-0.250 -0.00% 3,229,155 19.08% 6,241,982 36.88% -3,012,827 -120,513
  SPY $-1.280 -0.01% 27,734,799 23.63% 31,849,322 27.14% -4,114,523 -32,145
  CHK $-0.150 -0.03% 16,307,874 32.84% 20,033,523 40.34% -3,725,649 -248,377
  V $-0.910 -0.01% 1,810,078 16.87% 5,372,262 50.08% -3,562,184 -39,145
  EWJ $-0.040 -0.00% 7,233,857 31.53% 10,113,596 44.08% -2,879,739 -719,935
  GOVT $-0.030 -0.00% 143,731 2.32% 6,024,923 97.31% -5,881,192 -1,960,397
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLV down $-0.25000 with a Friction Factor of -120,513 and a Net Volume of -3,012,827. That means that it takes 120,513 more shares of selling than buying to drop XLV by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
