October 27, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5413 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1863 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4111 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T), ICICI Bank Ltd. (NYSE:IBN), Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC), Itau Unibanco Holding S.A. (NYSE:ITUB), Skyline Medical Inc. (NASDAQ:SKLN). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PFE $0.020 0.00% 4,516,668 25.92% 6,109,849 35.06% -1,593,181 Abnormal
  T $0.100 0.00% 11,331,763 27.83% 17,045,601 41.86% -5,713,838 Abnormal
  IBN $0.020 0.00% 3,253,344 28.35% 4,771,778 41.58% -1,518,434 Abnormal
  WFC $0.260 0.01% 7,206,905 28.98% 8,802,331 35.40% -1,595,426 Abnormal
  ITUB $0.140 0.01% 3,524,187 21.96% 5,620,604 35.03% -2,096,417 Abnormal
  SKLN $0.010 0.09% 5,016,267 30.49% 6,383,306 38.80% -1,367,039 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Thursday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PFE with 1,593,181 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.02000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
