October 19, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 5534 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3851 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2178 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:ABT), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN), Axalta Coating Systems (NYSE:AXTA), FutureLand Corp (OTC:FUTL). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  PFE $-0.090 -0.00% 3,964,889 24.68% 6,416,552 39.94% -2,451,663 -272,407
  ABT $-1.170 -0.03% 4,856,359 25.24% 6,515,380 33.87% -1,659,021 -14,180
  MSFT $-0.060 -0.00% 5,828,983 26.69% 8,711,707 39.90% -2,882,724 -480,454
  GRPN $-0.060 -0.01% 1,580,356 24.00% 4,072,596 61.86% -2,492,240 -415,373
  AXTA $-0.300 -0.01% 1,335,887 21.46% 2,787,012 44.77% -1,451,125 -48,371
  FUTL $-0.021 -0.41% 7,538,963 36.98% 12,049,620 59.10% -4,510,657 -2,147,932
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PFE down $-0.09000 with a Friction Factor of -272,407 and a Net Volume of -2,451,663. That means that it takes 272,407 more shares of selling than buying to drop PFE by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
