September 29, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5558 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1888 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4154 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), SPDR Barclays Capital Mortgage Backed Bond ETF (NYSE:MBG), Medical Properties Trust Inc. (NYSE:MPW), United States Oil Fund, LP (NYSE:USO), WPX Energy Inc. (NYSE:WPX), Dniprogaz JSC (NYSE:DGAZ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MU $0.120 0.01% 12,789,474 40.29% 10,716,446 33.76% 2,073,028 172,752
  MBG $0.100 0.00% 4,102,536 97.67% 69,155 1.65% 4,033,381 403,338
  MPW $0.020 0.00% 5,925,280 61.56% 1,738,340 18.06% 4,186,940 2,093,470
  USO $0.210 0.02% 25,322,418 40.05% 19,721,624 31.19% 5,600,794 266,704
  WPX $0.680 0.05% 5,700,169 38.75% 4,344,152 29.53% 1,356,017 19,941
  DGAZ $0.240 0.04% 9,552,450 39.00% 7,896,702 32.24% 1,655,748 68,990
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MU with a Net Buy Volume of 2,073,028 shares and a Friction Factor of 172,752 shares. That means that it takes 172,752 more shares of buying than selling to move MU higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
