September 13, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4951 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1127 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5429 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Freeport-McMoran Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX), Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE:WFC), TURKIYE GARANTI BANK (OTC:TKGBY), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $-0.420 -0.02% 22,046,442 32.73% 18,968,001 28.16% 3,078,441 Abnormal
  GE $-0.650 -0.02% 16,471,745 37.09% 12,414,757 27.95% 4,056,988 Abnormal
  FCX $-0.960 -0.09% 19,778,590 38.24% 15,752,503 30.45% 4,026,087 Abnormal
  WFC $-1.590 -0.03% 21,144,370 36.46% 15,491,306 26.72% 5,653,064 Abnormal
  TKGBY $-0.020 -0.01% 2,781,705 95.07% 143,431 4.90% 2,638,274 Abnormal
  FTR $-0.160 -0.04% 11,929,514 38.91% 8,916,411 29.08% 3,013,103 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with 3,078,441 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.42000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
