September 12, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5291 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4078 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2356 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Aemetis Inc. (NASDAQ:AMTX), CS Nassau VelocityShares Daily 2x VIX Short Term Exchange Traded Notes 2015-4.12.30 Linked to S&P 50 (NASDAQ:TVIX), PowerShares Exchange-Traded Fund Trust II (NYSE:UVXY), Nxt-ID Inc. (NASDAQ:NXTD), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bear 3X ETF (NYSE:JDST), Tantech Holdings (NASDAQ:TANH). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  AMTX $-0.200 -0.15% 30,606 30.95% 40,233 40.68% -9,627 -481
  TVIX $-3.400 -0.14% 3,913,061 29.48% 4,460,836 33.61% -547,775 -1,611
  UVXY $-3.030 -0.14% 22,175,233 31.53% 23,302,564 33.13% -1,127,331 -3,721
  NXTD $-0.690 -0.17% 62,774 40.39% 65,472 42.12% -2,698 -39
  JDST $-3.790 -0.14% 3,017,845 35.47% 3,155,303 37.08% -137,458 -363
  TANH $-0.440 -0.13% 38,864 24.58% 77,148 48.79% -38,284 -870
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows AMTX with a dollar loss Monday of $-0.20000 and a Friction Factor of -481 shares. That means that it only took 481 more shares of selling than buying to move AMTX lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
