May 7, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3913 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3235 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2077 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), MICROSOFT CORPORATION (NASDAQ:MSFT), HERTZ GLOBAL HOLDINGS, INC. (NYSE:HTZ), BIOX Corp (NYSE:BX), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $-0.040 -0.31% 73,298,905 33.61% 70,361,444 32.26% 2,937,461 Abnormal
  CSCO $-0.400 -1.92% 27,986,514 50.89% 26,348,542 47.91% 1,637,972 Abnormal
  MSFT $-0.490 -1.45% 23,365,404 54.24% 19,468,137 45.19% 3,897,267 Abnormal
  HTZ $-0.210 -0.84% 8,755,050 38.61% 6,458,688 28.48% 2,296,362 Abnormal
  BX $-0.240 -1.07% 5,229,641 48.07% 2,490,720 22.90% 2,738,921 Abnormal
  QQQ $-0.110 -0.15% 13,869,098 53.68% 11,962,926 46.30% 1,906,172 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with 2,937,461 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.04000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
