April 16, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4018 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3471 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1769 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), General Electric Co (NYSE:GE), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO), CenturyLink Inc (NYSE:CTL), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $0.320 2.67% 47,708,282 32.51% 43,650,122 29.74% 4,058,160 126,818
  GE $0.180 0.80% 11,318,682 31.44% 8,675,325 24.10% 2,643,357 146,853
  CSCO $0.110 0.52% 20,574,150 62.83% 12,170,343 37.17% 8,403,807 763,982
  CTL $0.470 1.28% 4,278,823 60.15% 1,306,912 18.37% 2,971,911 63,232
  INTC $0.520 2.43% 33,782,077 52.40% 29,621,642 45.95% 4,160,435 80,008
  QQQ $0.930 1.36% 14,975,719 54.19% 12,658,492 45.81% 2,317,227 24,916
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 4,058,160 shares and a Friction Factor of 126,818 shares. That means that it takes 126,818 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
