January 29, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 3987 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3084 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2335 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Sanmina-SCI Corp (NASDAQ:SANM), Jacksonville Bancorp Inc (NASDAQ:JAXB), VMware Inc (NYSE:VMW), AVT Inc (OTC:AVTC), Saipem SpA (OTC:SAPMY), Anacor Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ANAC). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SANM $-2.550 -0.22% 2,441,920 46.88% 2,782,471 53.41% -340,551 -1,335
  JAXB $-0.420 -0.16% 28,489 38.57% 43,708 59.18% -15,219 -362
  VMW $-21.120 -0.22% 9,058,941 32.68% 9,644,049 34.79% -585,108 -277
  AVTC $-0.950 -0.16% 31,339 18.54% 50,163 29.68% -18,824 -198
  SAPMY $-5.840 -0.28% 66,083 8.88% 139,104 18.70% -73,021 -125
  ANAC $-1.060 -0.21% 2,462,900 42.96% 3,120,529 54.43% -657,629 -6,204
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SANM with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-2.55000 and a Friction Factor of -1,335 shares. That means that it only took 1,335 more shares of selling than buying to move SANM lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
