Market Maker Surveillance Report. CRUS, AMRS, SINO, VRS, NFEC, JMGE, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Wednesday,
April 25, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 3714 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3858 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1891 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Cirrus Logic Inc (NASDAQ:CRUS), AMYRIS INC (NASDAQ:AMRS), SINO-GLOBAL SHIPPING AMERICA (NASDAQ:SINO), VERSO PAPER CORP (NYSE:VRS), NF ENERGY SAVING CORP (OTCBB:NFEC), JMG EXPLORATION INC (OTC:JMGE). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction CRUS $3.900 18.75% 3,117,633 49.67% 3,102,004 49.42% 15,629 40 AMRS $0.560 19.93% 633,535 54.11% 537,270 45.89% 96,265 1,719 SINO $0.560 21.21% 360,672 53.52% 312,838 46.42% 47,834 854 VRS $0.280 21.54% 173,624 50.04% 144,455 41.64% 29,169 1,042 NFEC $0.400 27.03% 362,698 62.00% 221,464 37.86% 141,234 3,531 JMGE $0.460 30.26% 102,121 38.49% 45,543 17.16% 56,578 1,230Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows CRUS with a dollar gain Wednesday of $3.90000 and a Friction Factor of 40 shares. That means that it only took 40 more shares of buying than selling to move CRUS higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
