December 30, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4327 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3413 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2863 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC), Dish Network Corp (NASDAQ:DISH), AT&T INC (NYSE:T), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), Exterran Holdings Inc (NYSE:EXH), FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS CORP (NYSE:FTR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BAC $0.090 1.65% 71,266,739 40.71% 57,037,438 32.58% 14,229,301 1,581,033
     DISH $0.110 0.38% 6,166,342 91.85% 543,819 8.10% 5,622,523 511,138
     T $0.050 0.17% 6,393,919 41.39% 4,436,374 28.72% 1,957,545 391,509
     S $0.040 1.73% 9,092,412 41.86% 6,905,110 31.79% 2,187,302 546,826
     EXH $0.280 3.17% 3,754,434 63.44% 1,267,645 21.42% 2,486,789 88,814
     FTR $0.230 4.59% 13,493,848 54.04% 11,379,974 45.58% 2,113,874 91,908
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with a Net Buy Volume of 14,229,301 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,581,033 shares. That means that it takes 1,581,033 more shares of buying than selling to move BAC higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
