December 23, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3785 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3591 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2320 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. NORTH AMERICAN ENERGY PARTNE (NYSE:NOA), GIGOPTIX INC (OTC:GGOX), JBI INC (OTC:JBII), LIGHTWAVE LOGIC INC (OTCBB:LWLG), MOTRICITY INC (NASDAQ:MOTR), Ram Energy Resources Incorporated (NYSE:RAM). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     JBII $0.360 22.09% 135,140 39.51% 73,522 21.49% 61,618 1,712
     LWLG $0.210 20.19% 157,346 62.39% 57,206 22.68% 100,140 4,769
     MOTR $0.200 22.47% 1,215,068 55.97% 955,680 44.03% 259,388 12,969
     RAM $0.460 22.89% 6,848,242 50.60% 6,338,326 46.83% 509,916 11,085
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NOA with a dollar gain Friday of $1.63000 and a Friction Factor of 166 shares. That means that it only took 166 more shares of buying than selling to move NOA higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
