December 22, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3965 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3780 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2265 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. TRAVELBYUS INC (OTC:TRIP), TELIK INC (NASDAQ:TELK), MCDONALD'S CORP (NYSE:MCD), Winn-Dixie Stores Inc (NASDAQ:WINN), SANUWAVE HEALTH INC (OTC:SNWV), Allezoe Medical Holdings Inc (OTC:ALZM). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TRIP $-3.080 -11.12% 2,224,610 35.40% 3,721,562 59.22% -1,496,952 -4,860
     TELK $-0.010 -3.31% 265,339 11.17% 2,111,156 88.83% -1,845,817 -1,845,817
     MCD $-0.450 -0.46% 969,490 21.07% 2,215,793 48.16% -1,246,303 -27,696
     WINN $-0.040 -0.43% 1,498,053 32.87% 3,060,020 67.13% -1,561,967 -390,492
     SNWV $-1.050 -80.77% 206,862 12.54% 1,443,023 87.48% -1,236,161 -11,773
     ALZM $-0.015 -36.48% 9,413,111 39.82% 14,225,757 60.18% -4,812,646 -3,273,909
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TRIP down $-3.08000 with a Friction Factor of -4,860 and a Net Volume of -1,496,952. That means that it takes 4,860 more shares of selling than buying to drop TRIP by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
