December 8, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3501 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1283 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4994 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. QUANTUM FUEL SYSTEMS TECHNOL (NASDAQ:QTWW), ADEONA PHARMACEUTICALS INC (AMEX:AEN), E-COMMERCE CHINA-SPON ADR (NYSE:DANG), AFFYMAX INC (NASDAQ:AFFY), GUIDED THERAPEUTICS INC (OTC:GTHP), OMNI BIO PHARMACEUTICAL INC (OTCBB:OMBP). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     QTWW $0.320 22.38% 101,170 56.51% 76,768 42.88% 24,402 763
     AEN $0.140 12.49% 354,395 31.05% 329,008 28.82% 25,387 1,813
     DANG $0.920 19.78% 2,061,722 32.03% 1,965,766 30.54% 95,956 1,043
     AFFY $2.140 36.57% 10,792,689 50.35% 10,327,936 48.18% 464,753 2,172
     GTHP $0.160 16.67% 218,184 46.91% 207,383 44.58% 10,801 675
     OMBP $0.380 14.62% 44,535 60.53% 29,039 39.47% 15,496 408
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows QTWW with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.32000 and a Friction Factor of 763 shares. That means that it only took 763 more shares of buying than selling to move QTWW higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
