December 5, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4007 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3776 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2257 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. AMR CORP (NYSE:AMR), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), RESEARCH IN MOTION (NASDAQ:RIMM), SUCCESSFACTORS INC (NASDAQ:SFSF), (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     AMR $0.010 1.68% 20,495,626 36.75% 17,499,979 31.38% 2,995,647 2,995,647
     BAC $0.150 2.66% 110,346,101 38.10% 97,585,626 33.70% 12,760,475 850,698
     INTC $0.400 1.62% 23,090,652 52.94% 20,516,839 47.04% 2,573,813 64,345
     RIMM $0.380 2.27% 14,216,340 61.05% 8,993,551 38.62% 5,222,789 137,442
     SFSF $13.450 51.24% 34,770,730 36.63% 30,574,438 32.21% 4,196,292 3,120
     QQQ $0.650 1.15% 21,344,742 53.26% 18,478,701 46.11% 2,866,041 44,093
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows AMR with a Net Buy Volume of 2,995,647 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,995,647 shares. That means that it takes 2,995,647 more shares of buying than selling to move AMR higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
