December 1, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3664 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2468 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3406 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. RADVISION LTD (NASDAQ:RVSN), ZOOM TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:ZOOM), MAGMA DESIGN AUTOMATION INC (NASDAQ:LAVA), CHINA AGRITECH INC (OTC:CAGC), DEX ONE CORP (NYSE:DEXO), CARVER BANCORP INC (NASDAQ:CARV). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     RVSN $1.640 34.24% 79,079 56.24% 59,220 42.12% 19,859 121
     ZOOM $0.230 24.46% 1,188,307 54.08% 955,962 43.50% 232,345 10,102
     LAVA $1.430 25.00% 24,679,103 55.11% 20,249,041 45.22% 4,430,062 30,979
     CAGC $1.180 176.12% 112,685 41.18% 45,715 16.71% 66,970 568
     DEXO $0.310 23.66% 1,046,050 39.95% 876,997 33.50% 169,053 5,453
     CARV $6.450 105.74% 132,559 55.98% 98,295 41.51% 34,264 53
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows RVSN with a dollar gain Thursday of $1.64000 and a Friction Factor of 121 shares. That means that it only took 121 more shares of buying than selling to move RVSN higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
