November 28, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4076 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4233 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1918 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. SINA CORP (NASDAQ:SINA), LAS VEGAS RAILWAY EXPRESS (OTCBB:XTRN), SYNOVUS FINANCIAL CORP (NYSE:SNV), TERNIUM SA-SPONSORED ADR (NYSE:TX), Usa Technologies Inc. Warrants (NASDAQ:USATW), (OTCBB:SGAE). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SINA $-3.320 -5.26% 9,233,869 51.23% 8,506,501 47.20% 727,368 Abnormal
     XTRN $-0.010 -10.00% 130,286 83.26% 26,200 16.74% 104,086 Abnormal
     SNV $-0.020 -1.42% 2,858,327 33.00% 2,720,356 31.41% 137,971 Abnormal
     TX $-3.290 -17.03% 1,432,068 30.75% 1,288,147 27.66% 143,921 Abnormal
     USATW $-0.020 -44.44% 162,600 71.07% 66,200 28.93% 96,400 Abnormal
     SGAE $-0.050 -12.50% 241,500 86.48% 37,750 13.52% 203,750 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Monday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SINA with 727,368 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-3.32000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
