November 7, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3871 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2921 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2997 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Monday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. SPANISH BROADCASTING SYS-A (NASDAQ:SBSA), LITHIUM EXPLORATION GROUP IN (OTCBB:LEXG), SYNTROLEUM CORP (NASDAQ:SYNM), NEUROGESX INC (NASDAQ:NGSX), CHINA GENGSHENG MINERALS INC (AMEX:CHGS), CHINA SHEN ZHOU MINING & RES (AMEX:SHZ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SBSA $0.420 39.62% 143,728 68.12% 67,264 31.88% 76,464 1,821
     LEXG $0.370 41.11% 561,047 37.54% 359,765 24.07% 201,282 5,440
     SYNM $0.300 32.61% 1,213,178 58.29% 859,945 41.32% 353,233 11,774
     NGSX $0.200 19.65% 69,266 53.94% 59,147 46.06% 10,119 506
     CHGS $0.260 27.96% 171,427 26.48% 155,680 24.05% 15,747 606
     SHZ $0.490 26.92% 587,041 33.18% 501,649 28.35% 85,392 1,743
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SBSA with a dollar gain Monday of $0.42000 and a Friction Factor of 1,821 shares. That means that it only took 1,821 more shares of buying than selling to move SBSA higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
