November 3, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3835 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4122 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1933 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BANCO BRADESCO-ADR (NYSE:BBD), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), GENERAL MARITIME CORP (NYSE:GMR), TRANSOCEAN LTD (NYSE:RIG), CAREER EDUCATION CORP (NASDAQ:CECO), CLEARWIRE CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CLWR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     SIRI $-0.010 -0.60% 31,301,478 43.77% 40,213,404 56.23% -8,911,926 -8,911,926
     GMR $-0.070 -26.92% 2,348,061 27.61% 3,624,710 42.62% -1,276,649 -182,378
     RIG $-6.980 -12.47% 8,137,289 27.19% 9,666,714 32.30% -1,529,425 -2,191
     CECO $-0.920 -11.06% 7,585,244 45.66% 8,968,193 53.99% -1,382,949 -15,032
     CLWR $-0.300 -14.71% 4,664,806 42.27% 6,370,737 57.73% -1,705,931 -56,864
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BBD down $-0.27000 with a Friction Factor of -124,330 and a Net Volume of -3,356,920. That means that it takes 124,330 more shares of selling than buying to drop BBD by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
