October 13, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 4137 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2560 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3068 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. DELL INC (NASDAQ:DELL), SEQUENOM INC (NASDAQ:SQNM), YUM! BRANDS INC (NYSE:YUM), REYNOLDS AMERICAN INC (NYSE:RAI), CEMEX SAB-CPO (OTC:CXMSF), HERTZ GLOBAL HOLDINGS INC (NYSE:HTZ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     DELL $0.040 0.26% 9,513,022 41.38% 13,365,400 58.14% -3,852,378 Abnormal
     SQNM $0.010 0.17% 753,181 33.24% 1,512,775 66.76% -759,594 Abnormal
     YUM $1.300 2.54% 1,432,315 21.66% 3,474,530 52.53% -2,042,215 Abnormal
     RAI $0.240 0.61% 750,274 19.39% 1,883,701 48.68% -1,133,427 Abnormal
     CXMSF $0.025 7.04% 210,000 2.02% 15,405,000 147.91% -15,195,000 Abnormal
     HTZ $0.140 1.32% 1,667,609 27.14% 2,321,464 37.79% -653,855 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Thursday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELL with 3,852,378 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.04000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
