October 11, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4073 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3406 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2453 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Tuesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. PNC FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP (NYSE:PNC), LOWE'S COS INC (NYSE:LOW), U.S. BANCORP (NYSE:USB), WELLS FARGO & CO (NYSE:WFC), AER ENERGY RESOURCES INC (OTC:AERN), ALCATEL-LUCENT-SPONSORED ADR (NYSE:ALU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     LOW $-0.330 -1.58% 2,696,616 14.44% 11,144,590 59.68% -8,447,974 -255,999
     USB $-0.570 -2.33% 4,810,176 22.92% 6,946,558 33.10% -2,136,382 -37,480
     WFC $-0.130 -0.50% 8,215,980 25.21% 10,024,633 30.76% -1,808,653 -139,127
     AERN $-0.020 -24.29% 9,115,050 34.31% 17,436,355 65.63% -8,321,305 -4,079,071

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PNC down $-0.40000 with a Friction Factor of -95,783 and a Net Volume of -3,831,327. That means that it takes 95,783 more shares of selling than buying to drop PNC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
