October 10, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3368 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4683 companies with positive Friction Factors and 1303 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. SILICONWARE PRECISION-SP ADR (NASDAQ:SPIL), DELL INC (NASDAQ:DELL), GENERAL ELECTRIC CO (NYSE:GE), U.S. BANCORP (NYSE:USB), ING GROEP N.V.-SPONSORED ADR (NYSE:ING), MICROSOFT CORP (NASDAQ:MSFT). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SPIL $0.080 1.70% 3,012,076 39.73% 4,569,120 60.27% -1,557,044 Abnormal
     DELL $0.670 4.41% 11,317,865 46.20% 12,579,003 51.35% -1,261,138 Abnormal
     GE $0.680 4.39% 15,407,345 28.12% 16,790,277 30.64% -1,382,932 Abnormal
     USB $1.120 4.80% 3,502,367 24.28% 5,034,285 34.91% -1,531,918 Abnormal
     ING $0.650 8.81% 1,131,421 21.73% 2,803,620 53.85% -1,672,199 Abnormal
     MSFT $0.640 2.44% 20,657,418 47.48% 22,741,149 52.27% -2,083,731 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SPIL with 1,557,044 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.08000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
