Market Maker Surveillance Report. TRR, CETV, AATI, HLLXF, SCGLY, CREG, Losing Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Friday, Se
September 9, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4081 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1267 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5028 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Friday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. TRC COS INC (NYSE:TRR), CENTRAL EUROPEAN MEDIA ENTERPRISES LTD (NASDAQ:CETV), ADVANCED ANALOGIC TECHNOLOGI (NASDAQ:AATI), HELLIX VENTURES INC (OTC:HLLXF), SOCIETE GENERALE-SPONS ADR (OTC:SCGLY), CHINA RECYCLING ENERGY CORP (NASDAQ:CREG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
TRR $-0.550 -12.11% 34,456 36.37% 38,829 40.98% -4,373 -80
CETV $-1.420 -12.56% 442,092 46.18% 514,971 53.80% -72,879 -513
AATI $-1.250 -21.08% 4,684,025 45.95% 5,425,710 53.23% -741,685 -5,933
HLLXF $-0.320 -21.33% 154,326 22.71% 173,098 25.47% -18,772 -587
SCGLY $-0.650 -12.04% 42,418 16.18% 60,218 22.97% -17,800 -274
CREG $-0.160 -12.21% 56,551 30.61% 116,517 63.06% -59,966 -3,748
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows TRR with a dollar loss Friday of $-0.55000 and a Friction Factor of -80 shares. That means that it only took 80 more shares of selling than buying to move TRR lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
