August 17, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4288 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3059 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3025 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. TELEKOM AUSTRIA AG (OTC:TKMAF), BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), METLIFE, INC. (NYSE:MET), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), KRAFT FOODS INC-CLASS A (NYSE:KFT), LOWE'S COS INC (NYSE:LOW). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TKMAF $0.040 0.29% 21,025,000 65.65% 11,000,000 34.35% 10,025,000 2,506,250
     BAC $0.050 0.68% 54,111,444 34.00% 48,605,471 30.54% 5,505,973 1,101,195
     MET $0.170 0.51% 4,035,459 38.54% 2,110,883 20.16% 1,924,576 113,210
     SIRI $0.020 0.79% 50,124,046 53.27% 43,987,618 46.75% 6,136,428 3,068,214
     KFT $0.320 0.94% 4,991,241 43.97% 2,795,507 24.63% 2,195,734 68,617
     LOW $0.010 0.05% 8,186,540 40.33% 6,112,528 30.11% 2,074,012 2,074,012
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TKMAF with a Net Buy Volume of 10,025,000 shares and a Friction Factor of 2,506,250 shares. That means that it takes 2,506,250 more shares of buying than selling to move TKMAF higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
