August 16, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4502 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2004 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4085 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MAJESCO ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY (NASDAQ:COOL), NOVOGEN LIMITED-SPONS ADR (NASDAQ:NVGN), CHINA AGRITECH INC (OTC:CAGC), NETLIST INC (NASDAQ:NLST), GENERAL STEEL HOLDINGS INC (NYSE:GSI), CHINA TMK BATTERY SYSTEMS IN (OTC:DFEL). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     COOL $0.270 13.30% 1,059,183 55.08% 863,352 44.89% 195,831 7,253
     NVGN $0.210 25.46% 356,791 55.15% 290,210 44.85% 66,581 3,171
     CAGC $0.150 15.79% 38,009 44.72% 35,780 42.09% 2,229 149
     NLST $0.230 14.74% 184,543 54.65% 146,111 43.27% 38,432 1,671
     GSI $0.300 21.74% 385,859 44.41% 295,547 34.02% 90,312 3,010
     DFEL $0.400 57.14% 88,400 35.11% 31,950 12.69% 56,450 1,411
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows COOL with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.27000 and a Friction Factor of 7,253 shares. That means that it only took 7,253 more shares of buying than selling to move COOL higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
