GENESIS ENERGY L.P. (NYSE:GEL) - Genesis Energy, L.P., together with its subsidiaries, operates in the midstream segment of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf Coast area of the United States. The company operates through four divisions: Pipeline Transportation, Refinery Services, Industrial Gases, and Supply and Logistics. The Pipeline Transportation division transports crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2), and natural gas through the ownership and operation of pipelines. It operates a 235-mile Mississippi System that provides shippers of crude oil in Mississippi an indirect access to refineries, pipelines, storage terminals, and other crude oil infrastructure in the Midwest; 100-mile Jay System, which delivers crude oil to a terminal near Mobile, Alabama; and 90-mile Texas System that transports crude oil from West Columbia to various delivery points near Houston. The Refinery Services division offers services to 10 refining operations located in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Utah; and sells NaHS and caustic soda to industrial and commercial companies. The Industrial Gases division supplies CO2 and certain other industrial gases; manufactures high pressure steam and syngas; and processes raw CO2 for sale to other customers. The Supply and Logistics division provides services primarily to Gulf Coast oil and gas producers and refineries through a combination of purchasing, transporting, storing, blending, and marketing of crude oil and refined products, principally fuel oil. The company was founded in 1996 and is based in Houston, Texas.
