July 29, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4359 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2514 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4142 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. CAPSTONE THERAPEUTICS CORP (OTC:CAPS), NOKIA CORP-SPON ADR (NYSE:NOK), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), ALLIED HEALTHCARE INTL INC (NASDAQ:AHCI), ORACLE CORP (NASDAQ:ORCL), CLEARWIRE CORP-CLASS A (NASDAQ:CLWR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CAPS $0.030 12.00% 202,681 6.75% 2,671,105 88.94% -2,468,424 Abnormal
     NOK $0.090 1.58% 9,470,644 30.44% 12,028,297 38.66% -2,557,653 Abnormal
     SIRI $0.040 1.92% 55,330,902 48.51% 59,997,489 52.60% -4,666,587 Abnormal
     AHCI $1.370 55.92% 9,163,922 37.17% 15,243,453 61.82% -6,079,531 Abnormal
     ORCL $0.140 0.47% 17,614,306 44.23% 22,063,443 55.40% -4,449,137 Abnormal
     CLWR $0.020 0.93% 5,587,231 41.74% 7,798,205 58.25% -2,210,974 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Friday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CAPS with 2,468,424 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.03000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
