July 20, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4298 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3247 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3258 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Wednesday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. PFIZER INC (NYSE:PFE), SIRIUS XM RADIO INC (NASDAQ:SIRI), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), XEROX CORP (NYSE:XRX), FIRST TRUST NASDQ 100 TECH I (NASDAQ:QTEC), OMV AG (OTC:OMVJF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction

     SIRI $-0.030 -1.36% 19,578,316 36.62% 31,731,161 59.35% -12,152,845 -4,050,948
     S $-0.080 -1.52% 10,300,632 28.40% 12,123,068 33.43% -1,822,436 -227,805
     XRX $-0.130 -1.28% 2,156,081 21.44% 4,294,637 42.71% -2,138,556 -164,504
     QTEC $-0.320 -1.25% 2,628,462 32.31% 5,506,595 67.69% -2,878,133 -89,942
     OMVJF $-0.840 -1.96% 3,880,000 23.69% 12,500,000 76.31% -8,620,000 -102,619
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows PFE down $-0.02000 with a Friction Factor of -1,352,129 and a Net Volume of -2,704,257. That means that it takes 1,352,129 more shares of selling than buying to drop PFE by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
