July 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 3981 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1928 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4639 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. DELL INC (NASDAQ:DELL), WARNER MUSIC GROUP CORP (NYSE:WMG), TELEKOM AUSTRIA AG (OTC:TKMAF), WESTERN REFINING INC (NYSE:WNR), SOLIGENIX INC (OTC:SNGX), AMBAC FINANCIAL GROUP INC (OTC:ABKFQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     DELL $0.160 0.97% 14,507,631 55.37% 11,661,347 44.50% 2,846,284 177,893
     WMG $0.010 0.12% 1,334,580 62.86% 438,415 20.65% 896,165 896,165
     TKMAF $0.040 0.29% 21,025,000 65.65% 11,000,000 34.35% 10,025,000 2,506,250
     WNR $0.260 1.31% 2,116,739 46.35% 1,102,355 24.14% 1,014,384 39,015
     SNGX $0.035 11.48% 2,893,701 72.02% 1,066,583 26.55% 1,827,118 522,034
     ABKFQ $0.041 51.90% 7,317,190 64.89% 3,910,459 34.68% 3,406,731 830,910
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELL with a Net Buy Volume of 2,846,284 shares and a Friction Factor of 177,893 shares. That means that it takes 177,893 more shares of buying than selling to move DELL higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
