July 11, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3916 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1557 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5452 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Monday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. STILLWATER MINING CO (NYSE:SWC), TBS INTERNATIONAL PLC-A (NASDAQ:TBSI), CHINA TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT (NASDAQ:CTDC), POWERVERDE INC (OTCBB:PWVI), Easy Groups Ltd. (OTC:ESYL), (NASDAQ:GCVRZ). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SWC $-5.290 -22.30% 6,240,800 28.81% 6,717,393 31.01% -476,593 -901
     TBSI $-0.350 -15.84% 106,130 36.99% 180,814 63.01% -74,684 -2,134
     CTDC $-0.250 -14.71% 34,563 33.08% 68,713 65.77% -34,150 -1,366
     PWVI $-0.520 -23.21% 28,152 17.70% 51,419 32.32% -23,267 -447
     ESYL $-0.310 -21.53% 257,834 28.67% 497,033 55.26% -239,199 -7,716
     GCVRZ $-0.370 -14.57% 3,191,508 36.76% 5,539,399 63.81% -2,347,891 -63,457
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SWC with a dollar loss Monday of $-5.29000 and a Friction Factor of -901 shares. That means that it only took 901 more shares of selling than buying to move SWC lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
