June 29, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4401 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3781 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2571 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Wednesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. CLEAN DIESEL TECHNOLOGIES (NASDAQ:CDTI), UNITED STATES ANTIMONY CORP (OTCBB:UAMY), ALANCO TECHNOLOGIES INC (NASDAQ:ALAN), VISA INC-CLASS A SHARES (NYSE:V), COMSTOCK HOMEBUILDING COS-A (NASDAQ:CHCI), YELLOW MEDIA INC (OTC:YLWPF). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CDTI $0.880 21.78% 754,657 50.06% 750,147 49.76% 4,510 51
     UAMY $0.700 21.21% 99,120 67.75% 47,183 32.25% 51,937 742
     ALAN $1.180 115.69% 5,897,514 52.86% 5,229,236 46.87% 668,278 5,663
     V $12.310 16.35% 10,694,860 32.48% 7,846,938 23.83% 2,847,922 2,314
     CHCI $0.200 19.80% 73,424 62.88% 43,150 36.95% 30,274 1,514
     YLWPF $0.401 17.38% 172,128 40.20% 110,244 25.75% 61,884 1,543
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CDTI with a dollar gain Wednesday of $0.88000 and a Friction Factor of 51 shares. That means that it only took 51 more shares of buying than selling to move CDTI higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
