June 28, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4129 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4405 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2280 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. FIRST BANCORP PUERTO RICO (NYSE:FBP), TBS INTERNATIONAL PLC-A (NASDAQ:TBSI), SOLOMON GOLD CORP (NASDAQ:SGOC), EFUTURE INFORMATION TECHNOLO (NASDAQ:EFUT), LIFEVANTAGE CORP (OTCBB:LFVN), YOUKU.COM INC-SPON ADR (NYSE:YOKU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     FBP $0.740 20.44% 272,873 43.11% 135,648 21.43% 137,225 1,854
     TBSI $0.230 21.71% 110,863 56.04% 86,967 43.96% 23,896 1,039
     SGOC $2.140 80.15% 102,407 57.41% 73,457 41.18% 28,950 135
     EFUT $1.140 33.53% 69,841 68.06% 30,769 29.99% 39,072 343
     LFVN $0.280 20.44% 544,855 73.00% 201,570 27.00% 343,285 12,260
     YOKU $8.360 30.58% 6,445,618 29.30% 6,296,833 28.63% 148,785 178
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows FBP with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.74000 and a Friction Factor of 1,854 shares. That means that it only took 1,854 more shares of buying than selling to move FBP higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
