June 20, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4353 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3429 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3132 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MATTEL INC (NYSE:MAT), SPECTRA ENERGY CORP (NYSE:SE), MICROSOFT CORP (NASDAQ:MSFT), INTERNATIONAL PAPER COMPANY (NYSE:IP), TELEKOM AUSTRIA AG (OTC:TKMAF), ALCATEL-LUCENT-SPONSORED ADR (NYSE:ALU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     MAT $0.210 0.81% 4,793,218 106.25% 1,334,466 29.58% 3,458,752 164,702
     SE $0.210 0.79% 3,648,782 72.42% 397,231 7.88% 3,251,551 154,836
     MSFT $0.060 0.25% 30,018,907 55.83% 25,856,179 48.09% 4,162,728 693,788
     IP $0.870 3.27% 7,678,354 57.47% 2,056,145 15.39% 5,622,209 64,623
     TKMAF $0.040 0.29% 21,025,000 65.65% 11,000,000 34.35% 10,025,000 2,506,250
     ALU $0.070 1.36% 12,565,645 41.88% 8,749,899 29.17% 3,815,746 545,107
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MAT with a Net Buy Volume of 3,458,752 shares and a Friction Factor of 164,702 shares. That means that it takes 164,702 more shares of buying than selling to move MAT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
