June 15, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Wednesday there were 4151 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1625 companies with positive Friction Factors and 5334 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. GOLDCORP INC (NYSE:GG), WENDY'S/ARBY'S GROUP INC-A (NYSE:WEN), TELEKOM AUSTRIA AG (OTC:TKMAF), ENER1 INC (NASDAQ:HEV), SOLOS ENDOSCOPY INC (OTC:SNDY), RANCHER ENERGY CORP (OTC:RNCHQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction GG $0.510 1.09% 2,083,470 24.37% 1,692,944 19.80% 390,526 7,657 WEN $0.020 0.41% 2,125,253 32.06% 1,742,055 26.28% 383,198 191,599 TKMAF $0.040 0.29% 21,025,000 65.65% 11,000,000 34.35% 10,025,000 2,506,250 HEV $0.130 10.16% 2,390,403 55.02% 1,953,921 44.98% 436,482 33,576 SNDY $0.016 200.00% 5,968,842 67.67% 2,827,057 32.05% 3,141,785 1,963,616 RNCHQ $0.011 25.00% 787,565 74.76% 217,727 20.67% 569,838 518,035Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows GG with a Net Buy Volume of 390,526 shares and a Friction Factor of 7,657 shares. That means that it takes 7,657 more shares of buying than selling to move GG higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
