June 14, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4450 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4707 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2581 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. EON COMMUNICATIONS CORP (NASDAQ:EONC), ATRICURE INC (NASDAQ:ATRC), SINO CLEAN ENERGY INC (OTC:SCEI), QKL STORES INC (OTCBB:QKLS), CHINA XINIYA FASHIO-SPON ADR (NYSE:XNY), (OTCBB:ONCS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     EONC $-0.260 -10.88% 72,440 44.16% 87,399 53.28% -14,959 -575
     ATRC $-0.830 -5.73% 44,854 32.66% 92,503 67.34% -47,649 -574
     SCEI $-0.080 -5.97% 371,417 44.76% 441,444 53.19% -70,027 -8,753
     QKLS $-0.160 -7.08% 55,230 46.36% 63,904 53.64% -8,674 -542
     XNY $-0.230 -6.55% 44,338 31.15% 81,264 57.10% -36,926 -1,605
     ONCS $-0.140 -9.40% 110,277 35.30% 197,595 63.25% -87,318 -6,237
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EONC with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-0.26000 and a Friction Factor of -575 shares. That means that it only took 575 more shares of selling than buying to move EONC lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
