June 3, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 2623 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1494 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3389 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. ISHARES BARCLAYS 20+ YEAR TR (NYSE:TLT), LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS INC (NASDAQ:LVLT), NOKIA CORP-SPON ADR (NYSE:NOK), VALCOM INC (OTC:VLCO), WASHINGTON MUTUAL INC (OTC:WAMUQ), ITAU UNIBANCO HLDNG-PREF ADR (NYSE:ITUB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     TLT $0.560 0.58% 4,137,907 35.25% 1,971,581 16.80% 2,166,326 38,684
     LVLT $0.020 0.90% 20,514,837 53.08% 18,134,160 46.92% 2,380,677 1,190,339
     NOK $0.090 1.37% 21,144,991 36.84% 15,878,569 27.66% 5,266,422 585,158
     VLCO $0.010 23.32% 3,283,979 64.88% 1,693,329 33.45% 1,590,650 1,529,471
     WAMUQ $0.013 8.74% 9,725,393 53.22% 8,508,450 46.56% 1,216,943 928,964
     ITUB $0.220 0.97% 6,425,815 40.30% 4,383,423 27.49% 2,042,392 92,836
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows TLT with a Net Buy Volume of 2,166,326 shares and a Friction Factor of 38,684 shares. That means that it takes 38,684 more shares of buying than selling to move TLT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
