June 2, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2777 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2094 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2570 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MEDINAH MINERALS INC (OTC:MDMN), BROCADE COMMUNICATIONS SYS (NASDAQ:BRCD), ISHARES MSCI EAFE INDEX FUND (NYSE:EFA), CENTERPOINT ENERGY INC (NYSE:CNP), INDUSTRIAL SELECT SECT SPDR (NYSE:XLI), GLOBAL HEALTH VENTURES INC (OTCBB:GHLV). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     MDMN $0.026 26.53% 9,410,030 65.27% 5,006,434 34.73% 4,403,596 1,693,691
     BRCD $0.420 6.30% 29,954,626 53.56% 25,957,233 46.41% 3,997,393 95,176
     EFA $0.270 0.45% 4,938,923 24.76% 3,430,624 17.20% 1,508,299 55,863
     CNP $0.110 0.57% 3,453,689 47.56% 2,241,628 30.87% 1,212,061 110,187
     XLI $0.200 0.55% 8,096,539 24.78% 5,780,824 17.70% 2,315,715 115,786
     GHLV $0.010 25.31% 4,591,674 57.49% 3,359,689 42.06% 1,231,985 1,231,985
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MDMN with a Net Buy Volume of 4,403,596 shares and a Friction Factor of 1,693,691 shares. That means that it takes 1,693,691 more shares of buying than selling to move MDMN higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
