June 2, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 2777 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2094 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2570 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Thursday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. CYBERONICS INC (NASDAQ:CYBX), ZUMIEZ INC (NASDAQ:ZUMZ), CHINA ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION (NASDAQ:CADC), SINO-FOREST CORP (OTC:SNOFF), AKEENA SOLAR INC (NASDAQ:WEST), Easy Groups Ltd. (OTC:ESYL). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     CYBX $-3.350 -10.35% 967,970 48.32% 1,010,401 50.44% -42,431 -127
     ZUMZ $-3.600 -12.24% 946,419 43.14% 1,167,846 53.23% -221,427 -615
     CADC $-0.270 -11.02% 35,279 33.03% 71,318 66.78% -36,039 -1,335
     SNOFF $-11.640 -62.45% 1,277,667 10.15% 2,807,266 22.30% -1,529,599 -1,314
     WEST $-0.440 -19.56% 732,305 41.84% 947,957 54.17% -215,652 -4,901
     ESYL $-0.230 -17.04% 271,111 29.11% 417,914 44.87% -146,803 -6,383
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CYBX with a dollar loss Thursday of $-3.35000 and a Friction Factor of -127 shares. That means that it only took 127 more shares of selling than buying to move CYBX lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
