May 20, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 2588 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1670 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3274 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. QUALCOMM INC (NASDAQ:QCOM), PULTEGROUP INC (NYSE:PHM), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), ELITE PHARMACEUTICALS INC (OTC:ELTP), WASHINGTON MUTUAL INC (OTC:WAMUQ), PERVASIP CORP (OTC:PVSP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     QCOM $0.070 0.12% 8,488,335 55.76% 6,708,682 44.07% 1,779,653 254,236
     PHM $0.160 2.11% 3,620,755 39.59% 1,916,323 20.95% 1,704,432 106,527

     ELTP $0.061 46.81% 14,927,197 58.67% 10,514,490 41.33% 4,412,707 724,582
     WAMUQ $0.037 89.61% 29,012,420 61.56% 18,051,346 38.30% 10,961,074 2,954,467
     PVSP $0.026 59.45% 6,499,247 63.90% 3,393,981 33.37% 3,105,266 1,189,757
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows QCOM with a Net Buy Volume of 1,779,653 shares and a Friction Factor of 254,236 shares. That means that it takes 254,236 more shares of buying than selling to move QCOM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
