MDA signs extension to Design Phase of Canada';s RADARSAT Constellation Mission

RICHMOND, BC, May 19 /CNW/ - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed contract amendments with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) for the Design Phase of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM), which involves developing the detailed design of the RCM and all of its subsystems, and is the precursor to the Build Phase. MDA has been working on this contract under an Authorization To Proceed, since March 17, 2010. The value of the latest amendments totals $35.9 Million (CAD) and brings the contract value for the Design Phase to $123 Million (CAD).
